A popular fast-food joint from Toronto will open a location in Mississauga.
My Dosa Place / My Roti Place is opening in the Food District at Square One.
“Get ready for a mouthwatering experience of authentic Indian cuisine,” the fast food place notes on Instagram.
The restaurant chain with several locations in Toronto, as well as restaurants in Oakville, Ajax, Oshawa and Milton.
Dosa, from south India, is a thin lentil and rice flour crepe that is typically eaten with chutneys (usually a coconut chutney and a tomato chutney) or filled with savoury potatoes.
At My Dosa Place, other options include dosas stuffed with grated paneer cheese, bell peppers, onions and tomato stuffing; or even melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
The dosa is paired with a lentil stew. Other menu items include Idli rice lentil cakes, idiyappam rice noodles, uttapam savoury pancakes, and vada: a savoury doughnut.
The My Roti Place part of the restaurant offers a variety of rotis such as chicken, lamb, fish, along with vegetarian options – tofu, paneer, cheese balls and veggie. There is also a daal (lentil stew), and curries.
Desserts include a gulab jamun (sweet balls made from milk and semolina), pistachio kulfi (ice cream), and mango pistachio cheesecake.
