Despite Vin Diesel's Reported Meltdown and Terrible Ratings, Fast X's Halfway to $1B - Startefacts

The latest Fast and Furious installment showed underwhelming results in the US, but the global box office is steadily carrying it toward one-billion revenue.

Lately, there have been a lot of talks about Fast X, and they can be divided into two categories: the ones trashing the movie and the ones about Jason Momoa.

While in general, Fast X failed to deliver, according to the majority of viewers, Momoa's performance is largely considered to be the only silver lining of the entire film.

Apart from praising Jason's new villain, Dante Reyes, most of the critics agree that Fast X is not worth its money.

The loyal fans are still backing up the franchise, though, and the ratings are mirroring this statement: as of now, the movie has an audience score of 85% and a critic score of just 56% on Rotten Tomatoes.

This is definitely not the type of reception the franchise's Godfather was hoping for. Recently, sources revealed that Vin Diesel was deeply frustrated with the terrible ratings and reviews on his latest movie, and decided to pin the blame on Jason Momoa.

Even though the actor's performance is borderline the only thing everyone loved about Fast X, Diesel reportedly called Momoa out for "scene-stealing" and "over-acting."

The results of the domestic box office revenue can't possibly cheer Diesel up, too: the US audience hasn't exactly rushed to buy tickets after Fast X released.

But not all hope is lost just yet: admittedly, the movie's not doing bad at all — worse than its creator hoped, but still great.

As we learned, Fast X is already more than halfway through to the $1B box office mark. At the global box office, the movie has collected over $600M by this weekend, and it still has some time to build upon this milestone.

Here's to hoping that this news managed to cheer the franchise's Godfather up a bit and make it up to his colleague Jason Momoa.

After all, Vin Diesel only just put behind his rivalry with The Rock, and making enemies with another co-star is not healthy for the Fast & Furious future.
