Undisputed Boxing Release Date: Steam Early Access Appears To Be Fast Approaching - Forbes

The release date for Undisputed Boxing formerly known as eSports Boxing Club is seemingly imminent.

Steel City Interactive recently released a second full round of unedited in-ring action.

Group this with the non-stop release of hi-res images like the one of Deontay Wilder above and the rumblings I’m hearing from around the boxing and gaming industries and there is great reason to believe the game could hit Steam Early Access before the end of 2022.

If there is a delay that pushes it into the new year, it shouldn’t be a particularly long one.

Fans Will Likely Have to Be Satisfied With a PC-Only Approach at First

The consistent references to Early Access are related to PC availability for Undisputed, but we haven’t heard much word on when a console release might be headed our way.

Based on the size of the roster that it appears will be available for the game when Early Access arrives, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the console released pushed back as much as a year.

PlayStation and Xbox users won’t love that news, but those who have access to a PC might not miss much considering the roster could be strong.

One has to wonder what modes will be available in Early Access. Will there be a career mode, create-a-fighter, leaderboards or perhaps something else that adds to the game’s overall appeal.

Fighters Still As Yet Announced

While the Undisputed roster is already formidable headlined by Canelo Alvarez, Tyson Fury and Wilder, there are still a few major names we haven’t heard from as of yet.

Errol Spence and Gervonta Davis are the two biggest active fighters that haven’t been linked to Undisputed.

As for legends, we still don’t have an announcement for Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao or Floyd Mayweather Jr.

On the more novel side, Jake Paul nor any of the other social media influencers who have made a name for themselves in boxing have been announced. It would be a shock if Paul, Spence, Pacquiao, Tyson and Mayweather remain off the roster.

It appears Steel City is going big with Undisputed and the closer they get to Early Access, the more the missing fighters may want to be in the game.

Adblock test (Why?)
