Fast set up Steven Lorentz for a goal at 11:14 of the second period. The 29-year-old Fast is enjoying a hot start to the season with five goals and two helpers in 12 contests. The Swede is more of a secondary scoring option in a deep Hurricanes forward group, but he's added 22 shots on net, 23 hits and a plus-8 rating.
